###PURPOSE

Keep_track: A subreddit dedicated to keeping track of current U.S. politics, politicians, and legal developments. By working together, we hope to curate and summarize the actions taken by officials in order to hold those in power accountable.

This subreddit will continue no matter who is in power.

WHAT MAKES KEEP_TRACK UNIQUE?

Think of each post as a user-created page in a chronicle or encyclopedia. We do not aim to replicate other political subreddits by simply being a repository of links. Instead, Keep_track is meant to be a user-created guide of the most pressing political issues of our time, written by people watching these events play out contemporaneously and experiencing the consequences in our daily lives.

###TOPICS

Examples of approved topics include, but are not limited to: investigations of those in power, including lawmakers in Congress; conflicts of interest; failure to serve the American people; foreign election interference; criminal allegations.

Requests for information must be cleared with moderators first - often, a well-phrased Google search can answer your question.

###>>>RULES<<<

NO LINK-ONLY POSTS | ---| Submissions must include more than URL link(s). Copy-and-paste alone, without user-created context/narrative, is not permitted. |
THREAD RELEVANCE | ---| Submit material that relates to our core mission (above). If in doubt ask a moderator - we are open to arguments for including slightly un-related material. All request-posts must be pre-approved. |
FACTS ONLY| ---| Opinion should be used very sparingly. Quote experts, not yourself. All claims require evidence. |
COMMENTS MUST BE ON TOPIC | ---| Please don't derail a thread with comments that aren't directly related to the post. |
IMMEDIATE BANS | ---| Users who partake in obvious trolling, suspected propaganda, far-right talking points, demoralizing pessimism, intentional propaganda techniques or disinformation tactics will be banned. |
COMMON SENSE | ---| Please use common sense: No name-calling. Be civil. Respectful disagreement is fine. Don't support violence, even if you think it's obvious you're kidding. |

This is a highly-moderated subreddit. Moderators may remove posts and comments that don’t further the goals of keep_track. As a chronicle, even comments will be curated. We do this to keep the signal-to-noise ratio in check and ensure the highest quality content.
