For the sportspeople that appreciate the underdogs of fish.

r/roughfishing

r/roughfishing is a subreddit dedicated to the pursuant of fish that are not typically sought after when angling. Post pictures of the fish you catch, and ask for help if you need it. Whether you toss boilies for carp, throw hookless flies for gar, wrangle with big sturgeon, skip frogs across the water for snakeheads, or soak a piece of bait for some sort of fish of the sea, you're helping to spread the sport of roughfishing.

#Welcome to r/RoughFishing Roughfishing is the pursuit of commonly overlooked species of fish that vary in size. This type of fishing can involve innovative and sometimes unusual angling tactics.

With roughfishing you can catch hundreds of fish most anglers are unaware of. Since the typical angler catches less than twenty species of fish over his lifetime the possibilities are tremendous.

The goal of this subreddit is to educate fishermen and the general public about roughfishing. Currently, little information exists in the United States and Canada on this subject. ________________________________
