Mastering SQL: How Long Does It Take to Learn and Best Resources to Do So

Structured Query Language (SQL) is a widely used programming language that is used to manage, manipulate, and query data in relational databases. SQL is a highly prized skill to have, but just about anyone can pick it up. SQL is essential for anyone who wants to work with data, and the amount of time it takes to learn SQL varies depending on the person’s experience level, learning style, and the resources available. Here we’ll discuss how long it takes to learn SQL, the benefits of mastering SQL, and where you can learn SQL.

Turning your thoughts into a SQL query, no matter how long it takes you, is a significant accomplishment.

I've recently realized the I need to make my code more efficient, readable, and easier to debug. If you're having this same realization, join me in a free SQL workshop, SQL Patterns Every Analyst Should Know, on October 13th!

We'll learn from Ergest Xheblati, Author of[ Minimum Viable SQL Patterns](https://ergestx.gumro

Hi all! I'm Steve, and I made a new tool, Kiko, that uses artificial intelligence to translate plain-English questions to SQL in seconds.

I'm really looking for some beta test users (who could use it for free). Is anyone interested? You can check out me (@stevejobs_666) or Kiko (@KikoCode) on Twitter.

Here's a video of the Kiko interactive landing page. Try it out here: kikocode.com

Hi,

I am in tech for 12 years now and have been mentoring a lot of people during the last 5 years (primarily in backend and SQL). So I have figured the best way to learn SQL is to solve SQL tasks and learn by doing. I created an interactive SQL tutorial where you learn and improve your skills by having hands-on experience in SQL. Just check this out: interactivesql.com

I would appreciate any feedback about the tutorial from people who are learning SQL now or who want to start.

Apologies if it is not allowed to self-promote myself here but I wanted to spread the word and help beginners in this. Looking forward to any feedback about the cours

I have been trying to teach myself SQL for a month or so to try and get some sort of job as a Data Analyst in the near-ish future.

I started off with Khan Academy and continued through the W3 tutorials and feel pretty comfortable with the basics of SQL and feel confident knowing where i can find answers to intermediate level queries. I started trying to get some practice on sql-practice.com and felt good about the "easy" and "medium" level queries and learned a bit about some functions that I hadn't been exposed to yet.

However, I feel like I hit a wall in where to go next. The "hard" level questions in sql-practice are showing a lot of gaps in my knowledg
