THIS SUB-REDDIT IS NEW AS OF JULY 2016. I'M LOOKING FOR OTHER INDEPENDENT WEB HOSTS OUT THERE. IF YOU RUN A WEB HOSTING BUSINESS OR YOU ARE INTERESTING IN GETTING STARTED IN WEB HOSTING, BE SURE TO SUBSCRIBE AND SPREAD THE WORD ABOUT THIS NEW COMMUNITY!

This is a place to discuss anything about running or starting a web hosting business. How is this subreddit different than our friends at r/webhosting? Whereas r/webhosting is all things hosting, the discussion here is more for independent web hosts who already run a web hosting business. It is also for people interested in starting their own hosting business.

Here's Some Discussion Topics:

shared, VPS, or dedicated hosting
co-located hosting
tax, income and billing-related questions
php
mysql
apache
cPanel, plesk or other control panels
WHMCS
WordPress
email hosting
tips, tricks, strategies
security and ssl
Domain Registration
Reseller Accounts
anything else related to running or starting a hosting business

Please be friendly and polite here. We're here to help each other out. Some of us are veteran hosting providers, others may be new. Let's be respectful.

Also, please do not post affiliate links or you will be removed from the discussion.

Finally, make sure you check out the blog: thehostingpub.com
