Any musicians in & around London?

Hey, I'm 27 in London and I'd love to find some people to play and hang out with, and ideally get a project going.

I'm a long time guitarist, occasional vocalist and a music performance grad, but above competence I'd just love to meet people who share a passion for playing.

I'd really like to find a high-energy sound that lives within the shared space between mathrock/Midwest/shoegaze/post-hardcore/indie etc. (three of my favorites are Covet, Title Fight and Smashing Pumpkins)

I do have some original songs written, but I'm open to mixing our influences and just seeing what direction things go in naturally.

If anyone's interested it would be awesome to hear, and I have a few short guitar vids I can show on my IG just to give an impression. Thanks!

We are a London based band that nearly fits your description. Don't need other musicians but happy to be in touch and recommend gigs and so on.

Yeah man, I haven’t really picked up my guitar or bass in about two years (mostly been doing stuff in DAW or samplers) but I’m in east London and would be interested

Hey man, similar story for me! Only been getting the rust off recently. Shoot me a dm if you can?

You should check out the promoter Portals. They put on quite a few gigs and have a lovely community, a great place to meet people and fellow musicians. Also the biggest math and post festival in London at EartH Hackney end of May

Hey, thanks so much for the info! Is this something active on social media? I'd also be really interested in going in May

Absolutely, Portalsrock on Insta, Portalslondon on Facebook, and portalsrock.com is the website.

Full disclosure, I'm one of the team who runs Portals
