Would Neera, Wild mage trigger off of Isochron Scepter?

Basically the question in the title. The wording on [[Neera, Wild Mage]] is whenever you cast a spell, and the wording on [[Isochron Scepter]] is you may cast the copy. So I am curious whether or not Isochron Scepter would trigger Neera, and how would that work? Neera makes you tuck the card at the bottom of your deck, but can you tuck a copy of a spell?

Yes, Isochron scepter will trigger Neera, because as you said yourself, it "cast"s the copy. You can also tuck the copy, that works. It will stop existing the next time state-based actions are checked (aka immediately before you can cast another spell or activate an ability). In case there are no nonland cards in your deck left when you tuck it, you will not hit the copy, because it's not a card.

So when Isochron Scepter triggers Neera I "tuck" the copy which just doesn't exist. So I am basically tucking nothing.

Yes. But it's still a action that's doable for the purposes of Neera's "If you do"

Awesome, that clears things up. I thought it would work because the wording matches up, but it didn't really feel right being able to tuck essentially nothing.

The casting during the resolution of the Scepter activation would trigger Neera, yes.

how would that work?

The card copy created in exile by the Scepter activation and representing the spell would be moved to the bottom of the library and once the Neera trigger finished resolving, the card copy would cease to exist in the library as a state-based action.

  • 704.5e. If a copy of a spell is in a zone other than the stack, it ceases to exist. If a copy of a card is in any zone other than the stack or the battlefield, it ceases to exist.

can you tuck a copy of a spell?

Yes, though in practice you wouldn't bother, just like technically Warp World sends tokens to the library and then they de-rezz there, but in practice they don't actually get shuffled in.
