What happens if you buy a GE (via chest pack), if that slot is already GE?

question

So, usually, a chest pack does not contain a GE if that slot already is GE.
Today, i got a chest pack offer that includes a golden epic for Artemis, but that item is already golden for me (see screenshot).

What happens if i buy that chest pack?
If i remember correctly, for duplicate shinys you get an iLVL increase.
Is it the same for duplicate golden epics? No GE potion, i assume. :(

I thought this wasn't supposed to happen. I imagine you'll get a GE potion, but if not, put in a ticket. Then let us know how it worked out. I personally would do it if it were me, since $5 for a GE is good and I need a few more.

You're right of course. I was just setting up an arty formation and was still thinking about him.
I might give it a try if i get no definitiv answer.

Bizarre that buying a GE for a shiny gives a polish potion, but buying a GE for a GE gives nothing.

I would assume you'd get a GE potion, but I haven't tested it to try it

On duplicate Shinys, you only get an iLVL increase.
As much as i hope for this result, i'm sceptical.

Thanks, that answers a question I had been wondering. Sorry you had to find out that way. Instructions should be more clear.

I would have thought you would get twice as many ilvls for a gold compared to a silver. I know for a silver shiny you get 125 ilvls. Good to know, thanks for taking one for the team.

That's pretty dumb that it worked that way, sorry you had to find out that way.

When you double up on a shiny it gives you a bunch of ilevels, I would guess its the same for doubling up on goldens.
