"Carrying" does not just mean "getting a bunch of kills."
I hate to be the guy raging on reddit, but I really hope that a few people get something from this.
I have had a lot of games lately in which someone (top every single time for some reason), thinks he is amazing, while actually losing the game nearly singlehandedly.
Yes, getting a lot of kills is good. No, chasing someone across the map and dying 1v4 after killing him is not good. Yes, I can see that you know how to play your champ. But you really, really don't know how to play the game. When all four of your teammates are actually begging you to join the team, there is a good reason. They aren't all "nub fucking garbage" as you pointed out. They just understand that this is a team game, and they need you.
No matter who you are, or how good you think you are, if the rest of your team is asking you to do something, at least consider it. At least stop and logically think about what you are doing, and why they want something different from you.

To make the point more clear, I just looked the most recent one up.
Though he obviously knew how to play his champ, win a lane, and get a lot of kills, his match history is all ranked losses. Ten of them, in a row.
I played with a sion who did exactly that. Mains sion. 10 out of 10 losses. Stays top all game and flames us for not being able to defend the inhib 4 v 5. He didnt kill the tower until 32 minutes in, because "dude im stomping my lane, not stfu and stop feeding" well i was 1/3/12 as support taric, but we kept lossong 4 v 5 because the simply dived us under the inhibitor turret
Typically the people I see do that play Darius :P
I've seen this and variations of it so many times I haven't played a non-AI game in 5 days.
It's the Dunning-Kruger effect and it's displayed by a sizable percent of the player base. It needs to be addressed and it needs to be stopped.
I personally am not up on a high horse, I know I'm not the best player but I also know I'm not at the bottom of the barrel. The difference is I am always willing to learn and take advice from my betters. I hope this kind of attitude can spread through the NA community, but it wont if no one says anything about it.
