eufy homebase 3 external audio jack output and speaker installation
**
I’ve always had issues with the weak speaker output on the Eufy HomeBase 2, HomeBase 3, and the Eufy Wi-Fi Bridge.
One major issue is that the Eufy front doorbell camera and door lock can’t be linked to multiple HomeBase"S" at the same time. This renders my Eufy Wi-Fi Bridge practically useless—especially since its internal speaker output volume is relatively small and pathetic.
(I live in a typical detached house, and the volume isn’t loud enough to cover the whole house.)
**
To solve this, I’ve installed external speakers to both my HomeBase 2 and 3 by connecting them to external audio system. This setup produces a loud enough sound for the front door lock and camera and bell ring sound and, more importantly, for when the system is armed—it produces loud enough to scare away intruders, or at least buy some time or cause confusion.
Right now, I’m using speakers I picked up from Value Village, and I plan to connect them to a backup UPS soon. I’m also considering adding a Bluetooth transmitter/receiver so I can link multiple speakers in different areas of the house.

i created similar post for homebase 2.

Some other users suggested using JST PH 2.0 wire, but they didn’t really fit either the HomeBase 2 or 3. I ended up re-ordering JST SH 1.0 wires again. They’re not a perfect fit, but they’re close enough for me.

The teardown isn’t that difficult, and you can easily find YouTube videos to guide you.
As you can see, once the outer shell is removed, the original external speaker is clearly visible.
It's glued to the system, but you can pry it off easily.
You can simply cut the wires, extend them, and attach an earphone jack socket.
You can use a soldering iron, but it’s not necessary, especially since the unit stays in place and isn’t something you’ll be moving around.

It has an HDD enclosure space.
You don’t have to remove it, but doing so will make the work much easier.

The HomeBase 3 has a much more compact shell compared to the HomeBase 2.
I initially planned to install the earphone jack on the top side, but I realized it would take too much time to do it properly.
I also found that it made the unit top-heavy, and with the earphone jack installed, I wasn’t sure if I could still close the magnetic cover on top.
**
You can try drilling a hole for the earphone jack on the bottom part of the HomeBase 3, but it will require some planning. the Homebase 3 space is much tighter.
Good luck!

I ended up drilling the bottom of the unit, considering it always stands vertically.

You can simply cut the existing original twisted wire, extend it, and attach it to an earphone jack.
The teardown process isn’t difficult, and the overall project is fairly easy.
I was able to complete modifications on both HomeBase 2 and 3 in one sitting—about 2 to 3 hours from initial testing to full setup.

$12.99 Value Village PC speaker system.
I’ll probably update it soon with a Bluetooth transmitter/receiver.
I plan to hide it in a more discreet location in the house so outsiders won’t have easy access to the alarm and sound system.

These are the links I studied, and they helped me immensely.
I went through each of them before starting my modification journey.
I also want to personally thank all the users out there on the vast “internet ocean” who invested their time and money and generously shared their knowledge.
That’s why I’m sharing what I did, and hopefully it helps someone else too.
