Weekly Rat Union Meeting (08/08)

Rat Union Business 🐀🧀

Ratties,

So glad for it to be Friday and time for another weekly thread of memeing, eyebrow waggling, and catching up with one another. Don't tell the others, but this week I missed you the most (yes, you reading this right now).

Aside from wanting to hear about your weeks and all that normal lovely stuff, something I wanted to bring up was how the weekly threads haven't been doing too hot analytics-wise. The fluctuating comment levels I can take or leave (some weeks more people find their way to the threads than others, I get that), but I noticed each of the last few threads have had a pretty surprising (to me, at least) down vote rate of almost 50%. Obviously reddit karma isn't the end all be all of engagement, but when I started this I specifically said I would keep doing it as long as you, the r/polyamory community, found it fun and adding value to the subreddit.

Has the trend run its course? Do I just ignore the analytics as a metric for the subs opinion, and trust that as long as people are stopping by and commenting that we should keep these going? Do we plan a final Rat Union thread to say goodbye? Do we move the Rat Union in general off of r/polyamory to something like its own subreddit? Am I overthinking everything because I am over caffeinated at work? Does anything even matter when we're all specs on a rock flying through space? So many questions.

Rat Union Question of the Week: Given what I mentioned above, this is a two parter depending on what side of the fence you land on.

If you are a down voter or generally have negative feelings about these weekly threads: Why? Do you think the sub would be better without these weekly posts?

If you are an up voter or generally have positive feelings about these weekly threads: Why? Do you think the sub would be worse without these weekly posts?

Just here for the memes and the hot babes,

PM_CGR
