MirrorSociety 1,000 Member Giveaway (Details Inside)
When I created MirrorSociety, the goal was simple:
To build a place where people who genuinely appreciate leather goods can have thoughtful conversations about materials, construction, aging, and long-term ownership.
The reviews, comparisons, and discussions already being shared here have exceeded what I expected this early on. A number of early members have already begun contributing posts that bring real insight and engagement to the community.
Although the subreddit is still early in its growth (currently around ~500 members), I wanted to announce this well in advance so members have time to participate.
When MirrorSociety reaches 1,000 members, the community will be hosting a milestone giveaway for one custom bag.
The piece is being contributed by a craftsman that many members of the handbag community are already familiar with. I have personally ordered several bags from him myself, and he offered to support the community by contributing a custom piece to celebrate the subreddit reaching this milestone.

• Participation in this giveaway does not imply endorsement of any seller
• MirrorSociety will remain focused on discussion, craftsmanship, and ownership experiences
This giveaway is simply a way to recognize and thank the early members helping build this community.
Entry Structure
To keep the giveaway aligned with the spirit of the subreddit while encouraging meaningful participation:
• Each post made in r/MirrorSociety before the subreddit reaches 1,000 members will count as one entry
• Entries will be capped at 5 per user to prevent spam or entry farming
• Comments alone will not count toward entry
Eligible posts may include:
• Reviews
• Discussion threads
• Observations about leather, materials, or construction
• Bag photos or ownership updates
• Comparisons or educational posts
Low-effort posts created solely to farm giveaway entries may be excluded at moderator discretion.
Because entries are tied to posts made before the 1,000 member milestone, members who contribute earlier will naturally have more opportunities to participate.

Leather quality, construction, accuracy, or simply how much you enjoy carrying it.
This isn’t required for the giveaway — just a way to get the conversation started.
Participation Requirements
To maintain fairness and prevent abuse of the giveaway system:
• Your Reddit account must be at least 30 days old
• You must be actively participating in the mirror spaces on this platform, not just appearing solely for the giveaway
• Multiple accounts / alternate accounts are strictly prohibited and will result in automatic exclusion
• Accounts showing signs of giveaway farming, spam posting, or manipulation may be removed from eligibility
• Posts must remain published until the winner is announced in order to count as valid entries
Community Contribution Recognition
Two members of this community will receive additional bonus entries in the drawing.
These are individuals I have known for a long time who contributed meaningful posts before this giveaway was even officially announced, and both have also been loyal members of my Discord community for a long time.
Their posts helped drive early engagement and bring traffic to the subreddit while we are rebuilding the community from the ground up.

Both members will receive 5 additional entries in the final drawing in recognition of their early contributions.
Entry Cutoff
Only posts made before the subreddit reaches 1,000 members will count toward the giveaway.
Once the subreddit hits 1,000 members, any posts made after that point will not be counted toward entries.
I will be keeping track of both member count and eligible posts leading up to the milestone to ensure that only members who contributed before the community reached 1,000 members are included.
Winner Selection & Transparency
Once the subreddit reaches 1,000 members:
• All eligible usernames will be compiled
• The number of entries each individual has will be publicly listed
• A spinning wheel drawing will be used to select the winner
• The entire process will be recorded, showing every username included and how many entries each participant has
The exact platform used for the drawing is still being finalized, but the goal will be complete transparency in the selection process.
The winner will then be contacted directly.
Once the drawing is complete, I’ll make a follow-up post announcing the winner, sharing the bag they’ll be receiving, and acknowledging the craftsman who contributed the piece for the giveaway.
More details will be shared as we get closer to the milestone.
