TMA 2026 World Cup - Round 3 - Part 2
Welcome to part 2 of Round 3!
If you're looking for the rules, I will put a reminder here but all information and rules are available on this post.
The results of the first two duels are here if you missed them.
As before, I will try to do a small summary of what happens in the episodes so SPOILER ALERT. Apologies if they're not always similar in terms of details, some episodes are very straighforward and some are complex, I'll do my best to be fair. ^((And apologies if there is any mistake))
Now, let's start with our two new duels:
Eye Contact VS Old Passages:
Statement:
Statement of Elias Bouchard, regarding the dreams of Jonathan Sims, Head Archivist of the Magnus Institute, currently unresponsive. Details pulled directly from subject.
The Archivist dreams of many past statements. Too many for me to summarize but I believe we all remember that episode.
Post-Statement:
Martin arrives with the police and they arrest Elias for the murder of Leitner. Then Peter Lukas appears and takes over the Institute.
Statement:
Statement of Harold Silvana, regarding discoveries made during the renovation of the Reform Club, Pall Mall.
Harold Silvana, who works in restoration, is confronted by teenage Gerard Keay regarding a work he did with Jurgen Leitner. They go in a secret tunnel in the Reform Club that leads to 13 passages, each one for each fear, with the tumbstone of Robert Smirke in the middle of the room.
Gerard runs into a corridor, grabs a book from which small animal bones fall off, leaving Harold alone. When Harold comes back to the club, the police is there and he's told to tell no one about this.
Post-Statement/Supplemental:
Sasha was not able to follow up on anything. We learn that Tim really likes Smirk and that paranormal events happen more often in his buildings.
At the end of the recording, a silver worm appear and Jon goes to get a fire extinguisher. As he leaves, Martin appears looking for Jon with Breekon & Hope having a delivery for him.
-----------------------------------------------------
The Librarian VS Children of the Night:
Statement:
Statement of Jurgen Leitner regarding his life and works. Recorded direct from subject.
Leitner explains how he's been able to hide for so long, then how he started his library, how the books work and how he's been collecting them. He also explains to Jon the Entities or at least his understanding of them, explaining that Elias killed Gertrude and that the Insitute is built for the Beholding and Jon's role in all this.
Jon asks for a cigarette and leaves, when Elias enters the room and kills Leitner with a pipe. Jon comes back, sees the body and runs away. Tim and Martin also discover the body and suspect Jon.
Statement:
Continued statement of Trevor Herbert, regarding the latter years of his career as a vampire hunter.
Trevor didn't actually die at the end of MAG 10 and tells the story of the first time he killed a human, Alard Dupont, a drug dealer.
He also mention his encouter with a woman at a homeless shelter that he followed in the night. She had strange bulges on her body and when he cut her and countless spiders pour from the wound.
Post-Statement:
Jon finds no record of Trevor's death. He confronts Martin to know why he told him Trevor had died and Martin explains that he heard it from someone but may have misunderstood. Jon get mad and tell him to stop lying, showing him Martin's note saying "...if the others find out I've been lying...". Martin confesses that he has lied on his CV and Jon decides that he's probably completely innocent.
That is all for this week!
