Exchanging Diapers

I should have known better, as this happened with my second baby.... I stocked up on Pampers when they were on sale. Now that Little Miss is two mos old she's leaking out the side. Switched to Huggies, problem solved. However, I have five boxes of Pampers. What's the best way to exchange them for Huggies? Do I need a receipt? I know a lot of moms have diaper showers and then exchange. Thanks!

Go to walmart, they'll give you a gift card to the store and you can buy the equivalent amount in huggies.

Wal-Mart will take almost everything back without question.

Can confirm. Worked there. Customer service once accepted a woman's return of an ovulation test because she said she used it wrong. Yes, it was USED. Gross.

Our customer service also took back an entire stereo system totaling $4,000. Only problem was....it was from SEARS!!!!

Off topic from the OP, but this is hilarious and surprising. I took a defective electric toothbrush back to WalMart earlier this year and they gave me nothing but grief because it was used and because I'd mangled the (non-resealable, impossible to open without a box cutter) plastic packaging. Not sure which was the worse offence. I took it back for an exchange because it was randomly turning on at all hours and was clearly defective, but the CS rep could see no fault with it and repeatedly pointed out that it was used and in ruined packaging.

Five months pregnant and not in the mood to stand down, I asked for a manager. The manager gave me the same trouble! Until the toothbrush on the counter turned on and very loudly vibrated the mangled plastic packaging all over the counter. The original CS rep jumped away from it like it was going to bite her. In the end, they let me exchange it, but not the used toothbrush head. They opened the new toothbrush package and took out one of the unused heads to put with the return. I was just floored.

I too have had horrid experiences attempting to return things to Wal-Mart.

It's also pretty easy to return stuff at Target without a receipt. I've definitely done it with diapers when LO needed a larger size.

You can only return up to a certain amount w/o a receipt during a calendar year.

Most times you can just exchange the boxes from another size equivalent to the current pricing. I do this at superstore with leftover boxes of diapers I have.
