Manual wagons

Hi all,

Off the bat I want you to know I'm in Australia but hopefully that won't affect the recommendations.

What I'm chasing is a performance wagon that's a proper manual, not a flappy-paddle. Preferably post-MY06.

At the moment my list basically only has the Subaru Liberty (Legacy) tuned by STi.

What other options are out there?

Thanks for any help.

Stagea? Aren't your options really great in this segment?

That's a great idea but down here I can't find them any newer than 2001. Thanks though, they hadn't even crossed my mind

I'm in the us of fwd... I have nowhere near the rwd manual wagon/sedan options you do. Aren't there gm wagons that fit the bill? Holden? Spelling?

So yeah I am jealous.

I'm more interested in AWDs (says the guy suddenly keen on a bimmer). The Holdens just don't do it for me, which is a pity because the options are endless with them

You could get a 3 series wagon awd with a proper 3pedal... I've been looking for one too...

I know you have BMW 3 and 5 Touring models over there. Are they available with a proper stick?

BMWs are a great idea and for some reason I always leave them out. Thanks

And yes there's manuals

Audi's?

I've been giving them a good look, they hold their value quite well here and cost a fair bit to start with. I may end up with an S3 though with a big arse roof rack/box

As an American, I'd kill to have this on my shopping list! How about a Skoda Octavia RS wagon?

The models are a just landing here, very nice looking and very well reviewed, currently an 8 month wait on orders or immediate if I can get lucky on cancelled orders/overflow. Thanks

I just grabbed up a 2009 Subaru Outback 2.5 XT. With a 5 speed stick. Turbocharged, pretty fast and very practical. It's awesome. I'm in the USA, but I'm sure it'd be easier to find one down under than up here.

Sadly manual versions are harder to come by here. Scratch that, they come under SUV, not wagon so didn't show in searches. Thanks
