Where's Marilyn?
So in all the posted pics of TPTB on CD... I never saw the amazing Marilyn Monroe window art. What happened? Did it not make the cut?
TBH, the CD layout looks like a bit of a mess with only NOTM's art and a totally blank page. Am I just missing something here?

Maybe they didn't get the rights to the image, but the official video for On GP showed us this anyway.
This is the most logical explanation so far. Maybe the establishment who owns the window didn't want it on the album for some reason.
Had they released JD themselves, that wouldn't have mattered I guess.
i still think it would have been unprofessional for Harvest to allow DG to advertise the image. If that was the case, I feel like Harvest would have told them that they can't use the image.
Sometimes these things have to be cleared by a legal team, so maybe they didn't initially think it would be a problem...
i guess, but for them to just assume is quite the mistake for a major label
Marilyn's image is Public Domain

"In the opinion, the appellate judges affirm that Monroe LLC can't claim in court that the legendary actress was living in California at the time of her death, which means that her heirs can't take advantage of the state's generous laws allowing individuals to hold rights on their name, image, and likeness."
