Day 9 Update (kicking plain leaf)

Hope everyone is hanging in there.

I feel much better than I did last week, but I'm far from out of the woods. It's been a good reminder of just how odd kratom WDs can be. You think the worst is over and then wham - some unpleasant symptom returns with a vengeance. Sunday and Monday it was anxiety. Mild but still very annoying. Today it is typical (but mild) WD body aches and digestive system stuff.

I know this too will pass, I just need to hang in there.

I don't have any stuff in the house. Last Friday I poured it all (a pretty good sized stash) into a bag then dumped dishwashing liquid in the bag. Felt very therapeutic. I hate thinking about how much this crap, this plant, has disrupted my life the past 3 years. Hopefully I have learned something from this relapse.

Hang in there everyone and remember, it does get better.

You know it's funny, but I can just imagine myself still eating that Kratom with dishwashing soap in my worst days. Can anyone else relate? Or is it just fucked up reminders how dependent I was?

Hah, yeah... every time I attempted to destroy kratom by mixing it with something, I'd have that moment where I'd think, "Is this really going to be enough to deter me 24 hours from now?"

I can definitely imagine trying to work my way around the contaminated stuff in my worst days. But I think the dishwashing liquid was enough - it was more symbolic than anything.

Oh absolutely. I would be on the computer googling "how to seperate dishsoap from food" or something. Somehow I would find a way.

Sounds like you're in the same boat as me. I felt soo good on saturday and sunday and now my legs want to take off on me again. Still, I'm sure you can agree that it's way better than last week so it is slowly getting better. I guess we just have to be greatful for those couple of good days...they were like a withdrawal vacation in a way. The best thing right now is optimism.

Yeah, I keep telling myself it's just day 10. Last time I kicked I was still a mess til about day 19. That was coming off a much heavier habit, so I am hoping it won't be quite so long, but it's still something that is helping me keep things in perspective.

I work from home so I am going to use my lunch break to take a long, hot bath. They are a huge, if temporary, help for the body aches.

Hope your RLS starts to subside soon. Hang in there.

Thanks! I agree with the baths. They are a great way to reset and feel a few moments of normalcy. Day 19 isn't too far away so if we can stick it out for another week, hopefully we will start seeing better results. I'm sure we can. Good luck to you.
