I just want to tell anyone suffering through the acute withdrawal phase that it will get better. You might go through some very dark days. I was there, this time, I was surprised how low I went. Fortunately there was a little voice - the voice of my rational mind - that managed to break through. "Ride it out, ride it out..." Like swimming perpendicular to a rip current with the understanding that you will eventually emerge from the danger. Keep swimming. It will get better.
I just finished a brutal workout in my crappy homemade basement gym. I can't emphasize enough the importance of exercise. Find something you enjoy that gets your heart pumping, gets the endorphins going, gets you sweatin
I feel much better than I did last week, but I'm far from out of the woods. It's been a good reminder of just how odd kratom WDs can be. You think the worst is over and then wham - some unpleasant symptom returns with a vengeance. Sunday and Monday it was anxiety. Mild but still very annoying. Today it is typical (but mild) WD body aches and digestive system stuff.
I know this too will pass, I just need to hang in there.
I don't have any stuff in the house. Last Friday I poured it all (a pretty good sized stash) into a bag then dumped dishwashing liquid in the bag. Felt very therapeutic. I hate thinking about how much this crap, this plant, has disrup
Seriously. What was I thinking? Even if this isn't remotely as bad as kicking FST it's still a pain in the ass. The crawling skin, chills, diarrhea, and endless sniffling. The mild but demoralizing anxiety and depression. What was I thinking?
Please, if you quit honor yourself by not going through this again. It's not worth it.
I didn't play the tape through, as people say. I thought I could use kratom responsibly if I only stuck with the plain leaf - and didn't touch the FST that gave me so many problems before. Well, responsible use didn't last very long. I have been using daily, strictly once a day, but I have low grade WD symptoms all day til I get that evening dose. Not a fun way to live. It was really getting to me and I decided I needed to stop.
I am on day 2. The kick is obviously nothing like kicking a 3ml a day FST habit, but it's very uncomfortable. I hate myself for falling into this stupid trap when I knew better. I'm very depressed. I keep telling myself it's just WD, but I feel awful. I just want to
A month ago I took my last dose of full spectrum tincture after developing a fairly bad habit (3ml a day roughly) for the previous 6 months. What followed were 3 days of physical hell followed by several rough weeks of physical and mental issues. But it was worth it. I feel so much better now. My life is my own - no more worrying about getting my dose on time. No more feeling unwell all the time and being slave to something that could possibly be made illegal on a state or federal level any day. No more dealing with Dwolla so I can pay some shady dude ridiculous amounts of money for this crap.
I want to emphasize that the anxiety and depression you may feel after withdrawal will get better.
Hey folks. Just wanted to let you know that things have improved over the last few days. I was a basket case last week but it seems like I am finally over the worst of the anxiety and depression. I'm far from 100% and still struggle with some insomnia, but at least I can function like a human being during the day.
I just want to let anyone going through WD and the lingering psychological WDs that it DOES get better. It may take a while, but you will get out of this funk, I promise.
Hi folks. Just wanted to check in and see how everyone is doing.
For me the physical aspect is completely over with but I am still struggling with some mental aspects of WD (or PAWS, not sure what you'd call it at this point). I'm ok early mornings and pretty good in the evenings/at night - but I can be a basket case between 11-5. I realize the answer to this is filling that space with as many out-of-the-house activities as I can. This is still a bit easier said than done, due to the anxiety.
When I think about kicking pharmaceutical opiates CT about 10 years ago I was still a useless wreck at 2 weeks - so I keep telling myself to keep that in mind and allow some patience. This was defini
Day 11 and the anxiety aspect of WD is eating away at me. I just feel like I'm surrounded by this horrible electricity of panic at all times. I sometimes get surges of this anxiety that completely overwhelm me. Or I think about all the responsibilities I have to face and feel completely overwhelmed.
I know it's been less than 2 weeks and I should cut myself some slack, but this is rendering me completely useless. I do have a few (prescribed) Klonopin pills available, but I don't want to end up reliant on benzos.
Does anyone have any tips for post-Kratom WD anxiety? Thanks.
I finally felt close to normal yesterday. I was able to walk up and down the steep hill I live on and my mood was good. Unfortunately I feel quite crappy today. Not day 3 of withdrawals crappy, but aching all over and getting kind of depressed.
The insomnia is probably going to be my biggest issue here. I get so depressed in the evening thinking about the impending night.
Anyhow, I know this too will pass, though it may take a while. I'm in this battle for the long haul. I'm also here for anyone else kicking...I know it can be extra hard considering how many people don't even believe kratom withdrawal is a real thing. Thank you for listenin
This is simply one person's opinion shared in the spirit of harm reduction - please stick with powder and don't bother with full spectrum tincture. I have had issues with this substance - and I take full responsibility for them - but I simply don't believe this substance has anything to add to a responsible kratom enthusiast's life.
Hello fellow travelers on the dark side of kratom. I started out using basic Bali powder recreationally about 2 1/2 years ago. At first I was very responsible but eventually I was using close to every day.
In order to lessen the impact on my system I decided to try the Full Spectrum Tincture. It was interesting because I felt from it things I had only felt from true opiates and it was strong. A little went a long way at first. Tolerance shot up like a rocket. I knew I had to quit this stuff, but I was honestly scared.
Anyhow, I decided to quit cold turkey when I had some time away from my job. I was shocked by how uncomfortable it was for me. I have been through CT from pharmaceutical o
