I've got this mouse. It's durable and has a long battery life. I picked up the mouse to help alleviate some carpal tunnel symptoms and it has worked well for me. AMA

I am going to say the same for everything you said. I got this to help with tightness in my elbows and forearm and it does wonders when i still need to mouse but feeling achy.

Definitely a great mouse to toss into the laptop bag for tiny coffee shop tables. Just set it on your lap with the laptop on the table and your good to go.

I've had my M570 for a while as well for the same reasons. I'm curious, do you game with yours? I'll even go into FPSes and while not as accurate as a nice high-DPI gaming mouse I find that I'm not that bad with my trackball accuracy. Just takes getting used to.

I've used it for Prison Architect and FTL, but I don't think Id be too good at an FPS

Does it work with Unify or Unity receiver that Logitech has?

Yes

Oh man, if this had a free scroll scrollwheel I would totally get it for work. :(

free scroll scrollwheel You mean without the tactile 'bumping'? It's really easy to open up any mouse and take out the little metal piece that makes the "bumping." This generic instructables tells you pretty much everything you need to know.

I like having the dual functionality that Logitech has on some of their nicer mice. It's really good for large documents (precision and speed in the same mouse).

I used to love my trackball back in the Diablo 2 days. I still can't throw it away! I think I need this.

I bought it I have had the cheaper one of these that didn't have the scroll wheel I always hated that it didn't have that feature.

Gamer here! This mouse is fantastic for everything. The forward and back keys along with the scroll whell make it beyond dyamic and awesome :)

Stopped my carpal pain and made me enjoy gaming way more.

NOTE: If you have a friend who has one, ask to borrow it/test it first to make sure you will like it. It takes about 3 days of use to get used to it AND your thumb will be sore using new muscles.

What games do you play the most? I'm interested in this mouse but I play shooters/GTA/RPGs.

I have this mouse and it's great. It does take some getting used to and a few tweaks to the sensitivity to get it to work well with shooters but it's an awesome deal if you don't mind trackball mice.

Been using this for the last 5 odd years. Picks up dirt easily but regular cleaning isn't too hard. It has a very long battery life (~2 years here assuming a 5 day work week). My primary use is for work. I'm actually going to pick one more up right now.

I've owned no fewer than three versions of this thing. Still have the most recent one in the closet. Used to swear by them until I started gaming. Hard to play shooters with these for me.
