I bought into r/buildapc's advice on how AMD drivers are all awesome now and given my budget, bought a couple of R9 290x cards. They're awesome, loud, hot and power hungry (I don't miss the GTX480 SLI at all!). However Shadow of Mordor has in-game flickering (minimal) and menu flickering (extensive to the point of text being unreadable in CF). I'm using the latest AMD Beta driver (the one they pushed out for GTA V) - they said they have a CF profile for Shadow of Mordor: Middle Earth but that's a lie.

With CF enabled (at 2160p), I'm getting 60-70 FPS. That rate drops to 30-34 FPS in windowed borderless mode (single card). I tried this ["fix"](https://steamcommunity.com

type in the search bar: cmd
right click cmd.exe and use "start as admin"
copy paste command: bcdedit.exe /set {current} nx AlwaysOff
reboot your pc and the game should launch

Hello all. I did a bunch of searching before I posted this but still would be useful to have your input.

My requirements:

• $600-$650 USD
• Single GPU if at all possible but not set on this
• Connecting a 1440p (Yamakasi Q270, so I'll need DVI-D) and a 2160p monitor but will game only on the 2160p monitor (Dell P2715Q)
• 30-60FPS at pretty decent settings (not maxed out)

Given my budget, I see the following alternatives

• R290 Crossfire ($550-$600)
• R920x Crossfire ($700ish)
• GTX 970 SLI (pushing a little but close to $700)
• GTX 980 SC (~$600)

Hey guys,

Finally started playing GTA V on XB1 and it's crashed twice in 20 odd minutes (the first repo mission). Any pointers on how I can fix this crashing issue? Thanks. GTA5 is installed on an external USB 3 drive (as are all my games).

TL;DR: Game isn't perfect and has issues but is lot of fun. I love this game.

What bugs me:

• Really really hate? How the loading screen on Xbone goes black and keeps loading for a lot longer but they remove the on screen cards. Hey you jerks, I was reading those! Oh and long loading screens but I understand loading full zones can get tricky.

• How my ranged characters forget they are ranged characters while not in tactical mode. C'mon! This and the AI/difficulty doesn't scale with boss difficulty which leads to some frustration. It took me a while to figure I was being wiped by level 13 mobs in the fallow mire. O_O

• Closing / Disrupting rifts while they are awkwardly high right ove
