Renewing residence card... Been waiting ages for delivery,

First of all, big thanks to all of you who have assisted me on this sub in the past, it is much appreciated.

Now, I applied for my new residence card renewal and it was accepted, no problem. This was 2 months ago now though and I still haven't received a postcard telling me that I can pick up my new one. That, or it got caught in the junk mail and binned but I strongly doubt that. Ive got the fancy stamp on my old card saying Ive got the grace period etc. but no notice of this postcard. My card runs out on the 20th, but then ofc I have the grace period, so 2 months time.

Is it easy to solve, like just ring them up and have them resend a postcard? I have all my details and bits from the office when I submitted it all before, so I can refer back over the phone. So can I just ask them to resend the postcard then I can go alobg and collect my card at the office? Cheers guys!

Why don't you just call them and find out?

That is what I plan to do, it's just incase they need to resend the postcard, will I need to jump through any more hoops at all? Just for some prep in advance. Hopefully itll be nice and easy. Due to work etc and being busy I will have to wait til tomorrow for a nice 'catch up'lol but if theres anything I can do to prepare beforehand, always happy to hear it.

We won't know until you call them.

Bah, I just noticed they gave me a 3 year spouse visa instead of the 5 year one. IRButthurt. Oh well, applying for PR either Friday or next Friday so it's not like it matters...

Glad to hear I'm not the only one (only been waiting 3 weeks, but I'm now fully past the expiration date).

Usually, you can ring them, give them the reference number on the receipt you were given and they will give you a status update (I'd wager that update will be along the line of "Still processing. No idea when it'll be done. Thanks for your patience."

PS: at this stage, your renewal has not been accepted yet. They have only accepted your application and are now processing it. There's usually no reason it won't be approved, but it is perfectly possible.
