"You have to help me, Mr. Tracy. It's Lady Penelope. She has gone crazy! "
"Gone crazy, Parker? What do you mean by that?"
"It's her drinking....She cannot restrain herself. Every evening for five months she's been in the bar, drinking heavily, disturbing everybody and being utterly uncontrollable!"
"Well, Parker, that does sound terrible I suppose..."
"...But that's not all. Before she orders anything, she goes to the jukebox and plays Surfin' Bird by The Trashmen, ten times! It hardly fits the ambience.....Oh you have to help me. I'm worried her reputation will be in tatters and she might even reveal International Rescue's secrets!"
"Well it's not our usual case, but....." Jeff Tracy
After endless waves of Tamago sand and Karage, the conbini hype mothership arrives.
insider.com/photo-tour-one-of-the-coolest-con...If you struggled to sleep last night, I'm sure there are a lot in the same boat...! That's right, it's time for the JLPT! Those of you here who are going in for it, whatever level you're taking, I hope it goes well for you today. Check the test sites and directions, and of course the oh-so reliable train system, so you've time to cram into a Dotour for a last test of word skills and kanji intricacies.
Once again good luck to all today, and I'll see you on the other side.
Seeing a few nervous comments, so remember peeps. This is just one exam. Don't let your confidence in your ability ride entirely on these sheets of paper. You're all great and you know you are!
First of all, big thanks to all of you who have assisted me on this sub in the past, it is much appreciated.
Now, I applied for my new residence card renewal and it was accepted, no problem. This was 2 months ago now though and I still haven't received a postcard telling me that I can pick up my new one. That, or it got caught in the junk mail and binned but I strongly doubt that. Ive got the fancy stamp on my old card saying Ive got the grace period etc. but no notice of this postcard. My card runs out on the 20th, but then ofc I have the grace period, so 2 months time.
Is it easy to solve, like just ring them up and have them resend a postcard? I have all my details and bits from the of
My friend is leaving Odawara and I would like to take some of his white goods, namely washing machine and fridge. I live in Yamato right now, so does anyone know any local firms or companies that I could try and call to get a quote? My Japanese is OK, I should be able to get by on the phone.
My mate wants them gone ASAP and it's win-win if I take them. I just don't know any good sites to start looking into. One way is preferred but if it has to be a two way journey from Yamato and back for instance, thats also OK.
Many thanks peeps!
Living in Japan, I am especially interested in Japanese shows. Any and all contributions are appreciated!
I'm off to Japan for a year to work. Good times! When I get paid, I will have money go into a Japanese bank account (Not opened yet) however for the first month or so, I'll be living off my UK account, which is a NatWest account with a Visa Debit card.
I've done a fair bit of research but I keep getting a few mixed messages about where will accept it. Some say it will be OK in 7/11s and JP Post, but then others say that despite the publicity back home, it's pretty difficult to make withdrawals.
The Japan Post Bank site quotes: "Japan Post Bank provides cash withdrawal services for credit cards and cash cards issued by overseas financial institutions.Cards bearing the VISA, VISAELECTRON, P
