Try, Like Before
Eyes locked to a door-
slightly ajar.
Twilight envelops tiny room-
beckon you to relieve this gloom.
Please try my Northern Star-
just once more.
Reminisce of times where you compelled me-
to touch your heart,
and paint love in chroma that shined-
blazing brighter than the darkness which kept me blind.
Now, love craves this fresh start-
stuck in park by your favorite cherry tree.
The dreams I held, temporary as the love-
you threw away.
Our worlds wrapped in these two bands-
now it’s a fantasy to hold your hands.
My world, now in disarray-
wonders; what are you truly free of?
Eyes locked to that door-
slightly ajar.
Longing to see you-
in the entrance, ready to start anew.
I’ve wished on every shooting star,
that you’ll return- to try and love me like before.
