Cruel Father Time
The endless hours and seconds how they barely creep by,
the hands on the clock never moving.
As if when those pointers they finally arrive,
at a specific location looming,
some event will occur which shatters perception,
and leaves you quite breathless or gloomy.
But the hours and seconds seem frozen in place,
as if father time himself is disapproving.
Why must he be cruel with this rule so unkind,
slowing down this procession unruly.
It appears time has stopped, or moves in reverse,
when time is of essence and truly,
it would appear to those here his desire is clear,
to make us all miserable unduly.
So to you Father Time, my finger extended,
I bequeath this to you with much laughter.
Please go fuck yourself and leave us both be,
I must be with my love ever after.
