I wrote this and six more to someone special. But I'd like to share it with you too.

 

It star‘s out innocently enough

As any day would, with the rising Sun

The first in a line, exact and sublime

To start a new journey through time.

 

Yet something‘s amiss as the day goes

Not truly awake yet ever so close

What may be lacking in awareness

Turns to an overabundance of willingness.

 

Yet to me it’s the same as any other day

Caught up in a thought, always the same

My love is not there, but far, far away

Leaving me with despair and dismay.
