Crumbling friendship

Walking on a snowy winterday

I softly say

I miss you so much

Your cold answer crystallizes in the air

sssh, hush

How do I cope with feeling alone

When mutual love has long been gone

Our conversations used to soothe my soul

But now, our glances leave me feeling like a lost part of a used-to-be-whole

I thought you needed me

Ironically, the most painful illusion was 'we'
