Memory Lane
Is this even considered a poem? Lol.
Hey, you! ..yeah, you! Hop inside, let's go for a ride.
Alright listen - turn the keys and start the ignition. Hit the gas, don't worry, I'll explain the mission. All my life, I've felt this constant friction. Like there's always been somethin' missin'. And for some reason I've got this crazy suspicion. That my minds secretly been under anothers submission.
Ok slide left and onto memory lane. Hit the wipers cuz it's about to rain. And drive slow, this roads pretty insane. Sort of like going against the grain. Alright here we are. Park the car so we don't stray too far. Wouldn't want you getting lost in my brain. Can't imagine that would leave you very sane. You see that guy on the train? The one with the look of disdain? That's me, I can still feel the pain. It's an eternal stain that will never wane. Not even when I'm old and using a cane.
But anyway on with the story. I was heading back home where life was grim and gory. The type that would make you wince and cry for me. What I wouldn't give to be able to forget like Dory.
But look guys, just realize that I don't want ya'll to sympathize. I'm using this as a way to symbolize all the lows and the highs, all the laughs and the cries, all the truths and the lies - into something I can minimize so that I can show to other eyes.
Although I think we can all agree that if I'm going to be completely honest I'd admit that the fault is solely on me. You see, I was heading back home cuz I decided to stop going after a college degree. After living a life where I was never really free, the thirst for independency pushed me into a hazy frenzy and crazy smoking spree. I spent the next year drinking booze and smoking hella tree, all the while my grades dropped drastically. My counselor called me up and said I had to stop being so lazy, or they'd kick me out so fast it would daze me, but even that wasn't enough to faze me.
Now I'm back with the fam, writing this jam - a sort of diagram - about how god damn fucked up I am. And to be clear, the only reason I brought you here is because I can't even seem to face the fear of where I'll be in another year when no one else is near...
Well, lets turn back. There's more to leak but I'll save it for another week. I appreciate you taking this journey with me. I'm starting to think that maybe my future really isn't so bleak.
