Every year on Oscar day a friend makes a post asking who we think will be snubbed during the in memoriam montage. Myself and several others said Kirk Douglas. The guy who made the post corrected us and said that Kirk Douglas is still alive. A quick google search confirmed that he is in fact still alive.
Anyone else?

Kurt Douglas alive, I got him mixed up with Patrick Swayze all the time, as what is probably the case here.
I think, at least in my case its because he is 99 years old. I guess I just assumed he died when he had that massive stroke in the mid 90's.

Yes!! That's when I remember it too. It was after he did that movie with Michael J Fox called Greed. About the heirs to douglas' character vying for his fortune while he was still alive but near dead.
Well, in this world where he's still alive, the movie was called "Greedy".
Yeah sorry, it was a typo. Greedy. I looked it up and wow, it came out in 1994 which seemed a little far back for me too. I seem to recall it being out later than when I was 13 in 94.
