Snoop's a pretty good celebrity inductee. My guess is that he's been their stand-by guy for a few years, and they just couldn't make an appearance deal with anybody. So they gave Snoop a call, whose plans for the day were probably "watching WrestleMania" anyway.

Just generally being involved with WWE, the celebrity wing has had constant inductions since 2010? There were a couple prior to that...but they went a few years before doing it again. I would say to expect 1 celebrity every year, with people like Shaq, Cyndi Lauper, Andy Kaufman, etc. being potential future inductees. It's essentially a way for WWE to get more media coverage as well as have some decent connections for guest appearances.

Unrelated - is there a specific reason why Rock hasn't been inducted into the Hall of Fame yet? Are they saving it for a year when there's no other obvious headliner? Every other megastar basically gets inducted almost right after they retire but he's the obvious exception for whatever reason.

He is now, but there was about a 7-year gap in between him having matches. Was surprised he didn't get inducted in there somewhere. Besides, he can be a Hall of Famer and still wrestle once every few years as a special attraction - the WWE has supposedly tried to get HBK to wrestle a few times over the years. I'm not saying you're wrong about the reason, I'm still surprised.

HoF is for retired wrestlers that's why taker isn't in it yet, and I think WWE wants to keep people from thinking he's a "retired" wrestler. That implies he's done with wwe, and wwe doesn't want that to be the perception. They benefit a bit more if people call him a Hollywood actor and a wrestler, instead of a Hollywood actor that started out as a wrestler.
And the man still probably wants to do another match, maybe a real retirement match.
