lunge out of lockstep line,
face much too waxy for radio
personality(!) is all she's got going
for her anymore(;) age times
us all, and her seconds haven't
been kind (—) here are stretchmarks
where laughlines should be
fillimenting like faultlines(,) filligreed
gold like each of her wedding bands
she presumes too much;
shouldn't she have known(?) better
there's a place for women like her
and she should stay in it
pliable and safe like blunted scissors
but don't you dare spread
the tines(...) it wouldn't be seemly
you can't fight human nature
genetics will have its way
with each of us, just give
in to damned inevitability(.)
