Natatorium
I was happy, content with my life and the people in it.
Spending countless hours with the people that pushed me and drove me forward.
The daily routines, morning and afternoon.
The rigorous practices, already knowing who we would secretly race,
Influencing us to endure our limits.
We helped each other in any situation
Swim…School…Life
Whatever struggle or blessing that came our way.
We were a team, with unbreakable bonds.
The second net of safety, catching us when tumbling down.
No judgement…no fear…no awkwardness
Laughs…smiles…tears and sweat.
In a place we could all call “home”.
The comfort and serenity the smell of chlorine brings back,
The peace and tranquility the freezing water lathered us with.
Muscles fatigued, lungs and diaphragm drained.
We continued to swim,
Never give up.
