Intervention USA
America, you move me.
Manwoman,
I want to pleasure you
And be pleasured by you.
I love your core.
The frame,
Fairing stripped away,
Still holds me.
Stadiums
Erupt with song
Of your beauty
And your strength.
They sing too.
Of your violence,
Your prejudice,
Your barricades.
You have scars
From street fights,
Love triangles
Fatigue.
I want to hold you,
Stroke your broken parts,
Kiss you everywhere,
Take you inside me.
But you bite,
Resist the muzzle,
Refuse to change,
Fear intervention, then
Claim the higher ground.
I push away
As something wrong
My love for you.
I am not alone in this.
There are others working
On your behalf
And ours.
We tell you we will be here
When you come back to us,
Saying when,
Thinking if.
