Reputable sex shops in Portland?
I'm looking to buy a toy and not sure where to go. All I see are what look like super high end places in the Old Port that look like they're going to be pretty expensive. The other place I know about is on Congress St and the windows are blacked out. I'm a little nervous about walking in there although I will go if somebody has had a good experience there. Any suggestions or anything else I should know about?

Nomia Boutique on Exchange St. http://www.nomiaboutique.com
Classy, not sketchy, friendly and above board place.
I think I've window shopped at this one and the other one somebody here mentioned...I didn't go inside though because it was closed. What kind of price range am I looking at? Yelp puts it at "moderate" but that's pretty vague
It's probably more expensive than what you would get online or at a shop like the Treasure Chest. Nomia has a pretty wide selection so it's hard to give a price range without having an idea of what you are looking for. I would recommend them if you want to talk to a knowledgable salesperson who can answer your questions and give you recommendations. When I have shopped there the owner has been in the store and has given me a lot of help. The adult bookstores in town carry what seem to me like low-quality adult novelties. Nomia carries better stuff and they can help you find the right thing for you.
I have checked their prices against stockroom.com which I think is one of the better web sites. I think Nomia compares pretty favorably when you factor in the level of service you get.
I'm looking for something that's probably going to be pretty expensive no matter where I go, it's a strap on. I was hoping to find something middle of the road to try and cut costs where I can since I'm a broke recently graduated college student. Nomia sounds like it's worth checking out though, especially since they sound like they'd be helpful in figuring out what I need. Plus I'd rather spend a little extra for something quality than buy something crappy that won't work as well or will break down. Thanks for the info
