An embarrassing lamentation

I had a wet dream recently...a 31M/HL.

I haven't had one since I was probably 14.

When I told my 30LL SO their response was "I didn't know men your age still had those. Please change the sheets so I don't have to do them when I get home"

Fuck my life.

Men your age that have regular sex don't have wet dreams.

Not true. Wet dreams have almost nothing to do with the amount or lack thereof of sex happening in a man's life.

Then what it have to do with ?

Nothing. They just happen sometimes. They're more rare once you get through puberty, but they just happen.

Wow...no"Tell me about your dream"...No "You should have woke me up!" DB sucks, and not in the good way.

Wow, her response was so callous. I'm sorry. I hope it was a good dream.

You know, I can kinda understand why she doesn't want to have sex. She gained 40 lbs over the last few years so she's really averse to her own body image right now. I get that. Someone could probably make an argument that I'd even agree with as to why sex can falter when body image is in play...BUT

Its a completely different thing when shes callous about sexually related topics, treat me like a rapist when I complement her looks (last night I told her I liked the color of her eyes in the outfit she wore to work and replied "thanks...what do you want?"), and act shocked in horror whenever I make sexual advances.

What do you want?

A wife who doesn't rob me of the pleasure of paying someone an honest compliment. Don't worry, it will NEVER happen again.

I can understand being turned off by one's own body. I think this is very common for women and the only solution is really to lose weight so you feel good about yourself again, IMO.

But the stuff she is saying to you seems so cold. When she does that, have you tried asking if she is angry about something? And/or telling her that it hurts you?

Yeah. It stems from how her family interacts. They're a mess.

I have them a few times per year. I'm 43.

Man, I can't wait to get divorced.

So sorry my friend.

Don't you just love it when they make you feel like you're disgusting?

Love... No that's not it, that's not the right word. Surely there's a better one...

end it. Get rid of her

I wish it were that easy. Sadly she didn't exhibit this kind of behavior until after we had our kid last November.

Everything's easy. It's humans who make things difficult. What's stopping you?

My 10 month old daughter.

If you think you are going to get divorced, NOW would be easy better for your daughter. The younger, the better.

Side note - sex can take a really REALLY long time to come back after a kid.

And? Don't think you're being a martyr by doing it "for your daughter

Just leave. Your daughter will be fine.

I almost had one a few months ago. I never had one like I was "supposed to" as a teenager and for a long time thought my body just didn't produce sperm.
