Why Bars Survive Economic Slumps
It’s not the beer
You haven’t poured it yet
But I hear you singing
Under your breath
Just above the clanking
Mom used to do dishes like that
So I tune in as if
That song will be the last
Salvation I have
Against any doubt
But I don’t have the balls
To ask a server out
So let’s keep between us
This bar and this glass
Sing like my sweet mother
I’ll keep coming back
