The depth of the 4 1/2 inch diameter round clay pack is a mere 1/2 inch thick. Three layers of round clay packs shield the ears from laser attacks to the ear drum. Three layers shields the ears from stinging via laser. Three rounds did not reduce the volume and vibration of the ultrasonic hum.

Leather aviator helmet has a small zippered compartment over each ear. The compartment is too small to fit a 4 1/2 inch clay pack inside even when folded.

For permanent use, glue two clay packs together. Then glue the clay packs on the inside of the ear flaps. Glue the third clay pack on the outside of the ear flap.

Use a glue that is advertised for leather and soft plastic. One side of the clay pack is cloth. The other side is thermoplastic. If the glue cannot adhere to thermoplastic, glue the cloth side. I purchased a less toxic glue which adheres to cloth and thermoplastic. Stick & Seal Indoor by Lucite. Do not confuse Stick & Seal Outdoor which is toxic to inhale.

Leather aviator helmets does not shield remote neural monitoring or brain zapping because they are made of leather. Two solutions:

(1) Glue a round clay pack in between the ear flaps. That will shield the back of the head. Glue another round clay pack above this clay pack. That will shield the top of the head. There are gaps between the round clay packs. Hence, this is not complete brain shielding as clay brain shielding described in other posts. Yet, the clay packs neither leak nor fall out and the helmet is comfortable; or

(2) Glue the three round clay packs to the ear flaps of a trapper hat that has clay packs glued to the rest of the hat.
