Self-damage with Nova's Antimatter Drop?

Bug

I just rad-procced, then killed myself with my own augmented Antimatter Drop. The drop was stuck on my back before it rad-procced me.

Happened on Hydron, so, no outside Radiation sources. Bug or feature?

Unless you're on a sortie, it's probably a lag / host related bug.

Regular Hydron, not sure on who was hosting, though. Read on the wiki a comment saying it happens randomly sometimes, too.

It's extra weird because you're not supposed to be able to rad-proc yourself, EVER. Think about all the griefing capability if you could activate friendly fire at will.

IDK if it's a bug, but happened to a Nova on my team too, radiation proc and all of us dead because of the antimatter drop

Might be the side effects of rad proc. I was playing Octavia and I got rad procced, pressed 1+4 and I accidentally killed my entire team for the ~5 seconds the proc was on

Well, of course, that's how rad procs work.

The thing is:

  1. You're not supposed to be able to radproc YOURSELF with no outside influence (enemy on a radiation Sortie, radiation sphere, void lasers etc).

  2. Even if you're rad procced, being killed by your OWN ability is weird, although I guess that's OK for abilities that create another entity (so, Atlas Rumblers, Titania Razorflies, Nidus larva etc can kill THE CASTER during a radiation proc?).

I have a strong feeling that the Antimatter Absorb augment creates a bug where the actual antimatter drop has some radiation chance and it's not marked as "friendly" fast enough, so, if the drop gets stuck on your own Warframe (something that happens from time to time) you have a chance of activating friendly fire.

If only AD had 100% status chance like most abilities, it would be easier to test.

Also, AD has some little-known property where if you create more than 1 projectile at the same time, extra projectiles get a random chance at exploding themselves.
