Oh I did understand the suicide part. I just didn't connect the dots between suicide and poets for some reason. But I get it now, haha. 

I would say the ending should still be more clear or at least have the same sense of honesty to it as the rest of the poem, because I really do enjoy it!

Maybe I was being too economical with my words—the last lines are a reference to suicide. I could probably make that clearer.

I enjoy and identify with the opening lines but find myself slightly confused by the ending.

Thanks for the feedback. I’m trying to imagine how to pull of that kind of metaphor. I can think about doing it almost exactly—the poets go to the doctors, who try to prescribe them more poetry—but I’m not sure if that’ll work. Maybe something less overt, like, you’d think poetry would be a salve, but it’s not? Anyhow, sounds like I have a bit to think about. Thanks!

Reading the title had me wondering if "All poet's men could put this poem back together again."

However, I too am totally in flow with the poem until the idea of city flats and suicides. I see a [Pagliacci](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ael2ojGGUok&ab_channel=ZiLLaCSS) metaphor that needs developing.

Otherwise, the hep/hip imagery of writing fits with the seeming golden age of 1945-1960. I am tempted to say you could expend another line or two on the subject.

Nice! Not gonna lie, when I saw the title, I was worried that the poem was going to generalize poets un-ironically, and I was glad that instead you pointed out a generalization. I'm also fond of the structure of the piece, as each smaller line transitions the reader to the new idea it wants to display. Maybe I'm missing something but nothing about the piece sticks out as a problem. Good job.

YOUR poem immediately made me think of the movie Dead Poets Society. I love the open recognition of the trope that The artists are portrayed as suicidal and weak in, ironically, the arts. Is the last line supposed to say “time to” instead of “time time”? Nice Work.

this is a good poem. something that distracts from that is that you're still holding to capitalizing each first word in a line, regardless of clause. please stop that. nobody does that anymore really in modern poetry. you wrote one question, and obviously said fuck the comma, so yeah, please, ditch the capital letters. 

it could also be shorter, and feel more like the punch you're going for.

they, just high enough to end it all,
