Pool Day.

Feedback Received!

Deep hues of chlorine blue

swaying in the warm breeze

Glints of midday sun

against droplets on melanin walls

Splashes of ebullience striking water

over screams of laughter

—a sudden out of place click;

the sound of a camera shutter

we've done it!

we've captured fun

I don't know why no one has commented on this yet. It's a great poem! I love the phrase 'melanin walls'. Strong imagery, strong message. I think you should try to expand on the description of the day, the setting. Make the reader see, hear and feel more. But other than that, great work. :)

I love the last three lines because when we're in that amazing, fun moment we always hope that it'll stay forever but it just becomes a memory captured in our respective heads like a photo in a camera. However I definitely feel that if you elaborated on the pretty description you already have that you can immerse the reader in the poem. That would surely make the last three lines hit even harder.

Wow. Really pretty imagery, I really enjoyed the imagery with the “chlorine-blue water”. The ending seemed a little strange to me I feel as if the flow was slightly interrupted for me, but the imagery was really really beautiful.

Very nice, short(I like them short), and refreshing. The ending sounds so happy and youthful. Has a certain energy to it.

Lovely poem. There is some wonderful imagery here. For instance, "melanin walls" and "splashes of ebullience". The scene comes alive in my head and that, for me, is what a good poem does; makes you feel stuff. The imagery takes a turn into reality with the click of the camera. I wanted the imagery to continue, but I see why you did it this way. It has to end.
