My stats on overbuff (elims, damage, healing etc) don't match the stats I see in game. They're all higher on overbuff. What am I missing here?

Question

To be clear, I'm not talking about the stats being out of date. The game is closed and the overbuff page updates fine, but the stats don't match what I see in game at all. The game says I average 8500 healing/10 minutes on Moira. Overbuff says 10,000 etc. Overbuff does get the games played and win loss stats right so I know it's up to date.

Im pretty sure overbuff takes stats per game played and ingame only shows average per 10 minutes

gotta be this. as long as average game is more than 10 minutes.

It is this.

Ah if that's true that would definitely explain it.

Heya! Gal from Overbuff here.

For Quick Play, all of our stats are Per Win. We've considering switching it out to Per 10 Minutes, but I've nothing more to add to that other than I'm a huge fan of switching it up.

For comp, all of our stats are a bit more down to earth because Blizzard actually reports losses for comp, where they don't for QP and never have. In the past we tried to estimate them, but the accuracy was not up to our standards so we stopped.

No stats for losses? That's pathetic.

Blizzard sees quick play as a casual game mode.

So why only keep stats for wins?

Also right now im just scrapping raw data, how are you guys getting stats per game

I'm referring to comp here. Are the comp stats shown on overbuff also per game?

They're Blizzard's reported average. I'm also a fan of adding a Per 10 Minute option here. Best case would be to display both, but how to do that properly and in a way that doesn't clutter things up, and is understandable is a challenge.

Ok thanks <3

TIL why my quickplay stats look so nice. Any chance of doing competitive stats in the /10 minutes format? Always strange to see how I have really good stats because a game went long.

Already answered!

Overbuff doesn't track any stats for losses in Quickplay, only wins. Maybe that's it?
