i heard the forest speak to me.

it said:

step into my cover,
and inhale the secrets i keep.
do you hear it?

I do.

our spirit,
our material, 
below the root, 
above the rafter, 
through the fabric. 

this emerald veneer coat is expensive. 
one million thread count.
this tapestry is growing.
one patchwork addendum.

join me on our story,
under the cover of daytime.
i cannot conceal the life that inhabits me, 
and you either.
