Orion - Chapter 1: Home [3300 words]

Good day all,

My compeer, Nulliscience, and I have been working on new story. This is a space opera with a Greek themed classic the Odyssey as an inspiration. It revolves around a group of soldiers trying to get home. There will be subtle themes from the original story put on a long space voyage. We also mean to draw parallels with the ideas of "Gods" and play them on natural phenomenon.

Chapter 1: Home. Captain Orion struggles to keep his ship in order as his crew returns home after a long war. This is our first chapter. We are looking for comments on content and flow. Please let us know if the story grabs you and is easy to follow.
