Ok, at the very least, we should NOT be getting year 1 exotics from The Last Wish Raid.
Yes, the exotic duplicate and drop rate topic has been crushed around here, but this is a new side I didn’t know was even possible. I got through a few raid checkpoints today, from Kalli, I got myself a shiny new pair of Stompees. Like really? Why is gear from vanilla d2 dropping in the year 2 raid? If getting new exotics wasn’t so seemingly impossible everywhere else, I guess maybe this wouldn’t be as noticeable, but I’m raiding to get new gear. I’m not raiding just for level advancement, and I’m def not running the new raid to get year 1 loot. The topic on exotics has been hot, but I can’t see how ANYONE can disagree with this... If you get an exotic instead of raid loot, that exotic should 100% be from the Forsaken loot pool.
I know there’s a strong backing for “exotics are meant to be super rare!” Which I disagree with to an extent, they are a bit TOO rare now. But even the people in that camp can’t disagree with this. You should never get an old piece of gear from the new raid. That’s just wrong. This is the new pinnacle end game activity, and it’s not easy. You should be rewarded for your success.

I mean, maybe I'm misremembering, but didn't we have to run Crota's end for chances at drops for that expansion's exotics? The same for, oh, every other expansion?
I don't get the new raid having the old loot pool.
Crota’s end could also drop old exotics. Just a slightly higher chance for the new ones.
