Pronounce Moët. It’s pronounced how it is spelt since it is a Dutch name. It’s not Mo-ay.
It's a French name given to a Dutch soldier. It's not a Dutch name.
Well, at least everyone in this country has problems with merging into traffic including behavior on a traffic circle. They wait until there is no other vehicle coming toward them in that lane, even if it's several hundred meters away. Do this effectively on a traffic circle and you're just creating congestion. They also don't realize that maybe you should signal to the left while you're remaining on the circle and then signal right to exit it. That really helps a lot when no one can see your right signal easily if the circle is particularly small, as ours tend to be.
However, a new phenomenon has appeared. For some time, motorists here have been hesitant to make their move when there's a vehicle on the road they wish to cross or enter. I'm annoyed by this but that's ... understandable. You drive according to your skills and limitations, unless you're a road rage idiot. But okay, so they are "cautious." But this guy yesterday had an empty road to the left where he was turning right. Not a single car in the lane visible for half a kilometer. Nothing. Not even a bicycle. But he waited. And waited. Still no cars. He doesn't budge. I don't know what's going through his head. Maybe nothing. Probably ought to be something though if he's in command of a deadly piece of machinery.
I worry for this world.
