Team of the week:

u/jreij24 continued his hot streak, following a 92-point week in GW13 with a league-high score of 79. His faith in the Chelsea defence paid off with Kepa and Alonso keeping clean sheets. He also punted on Aubameyang in a tough fixture, and was duly rewarded with a 16-point haul. His captain Sterling (18 points) didn’t disappoint either. Almost all his players contributed in one way or another with small returns, with only Laporte (2) and Paterson (1) blanking. An incredible selection in what was generally a low scoring week.

The unlucky team of the week:

I don’t think we’ll see anyone get as unlucky as u/Kabukisen this week! 24 points would be a poor score in regular FPL, and much more so in this challenge. Aguero, his captain, didn’t play, so the armband got transferred to his vice-captain, who was... Mounie. He got a red card and -4 points. When was the last time you vice-captained someone with negative points and your captain didn’t play?

The rest of his team didn’t make up for it either, despite most of them being sensible. His only returns came from Robertson (6), Son (5) and Kane (6), with the rest of his team contributing 1 or 2-pointers, adding up to a rather sorry 24 points. Trying to outplay Pep’s wheel with Mahrez (1) didn’t work out either. He did correctly guess that Jones (1) would start, and picked him up, which would’ve been a pretty smart move if only United knew how to keep a clean sheet. Hey, on the bright side, it can only get better from here, and we can all look to this week in future and think, “at least I’m not u/Kabukisen in GW14!”

Top picks of the week:

• The most popular picks were Sané and Alonso, picked by 70% (35). Sané scored 5 points, while Alonso picked up 6. Not too bad, but surely we will be hoping for more in future.
• The most popular forward pick was Aguero at 46% (23). Unfortunate.
• The most popular starting goalkeeper pick was Hennessey at 28% (14). He scored 6 points. Not too bad either!
• The biggest differentials this week were Gunnarsson (with ONE pick, scoring 10 points) and Townsend (with two picks, bringing home a massive 14 points). u/tinyfenix_fc was the sole Gunnarsson owner, although I doubt he would be very happy about leaving him second on the bench. u/RaND0m69 and u/shaji_007 are the ones who brought in Townsend and profited from his haul fully. Congratulations to them!
