I think that’s fucking hilarious, but if I was an awkward dumbass who held virginity as part of my core identity like him, I’d probably think she was a condescending bitch and eliminate her too.
Thank goodness that’s not me though. I would have laughed my ass off, declared her the winner right there, and banged her with the sloth suit still on while making terrible jokes about if she’s ok with the pace.
And just for the record: not a furry, but am ok with exploration when presented with the perfect opportunity, and this would have been too perfect
who held virginity as part of my core identity like him
In the immortal words of the Balloon Boy, Falcon, "we did this for the show"
And I’d get to add “I’ve never gone down on a sloth before, but I’m game if you are” to the list of things I didn’t think anyone would ever say, yet here I am.
You're assuming too much. What makes you think it was only because of the sloth suit
I’ll freely admit to never having watched a full episode of Thr Bachelor, but i did watch a ~3 minute YouTube clip of this sloth incident. You seem really outspoken about this, so could you provide some context about why she got sent packing on Day 1 if it wasn’t the sloth costume?
You seem really outspoken about this
Where did you get that? You've written significantly more about it and shown way more of an opinion on the matter than u/Kgb725 has. All they said was you're assuming too much and offered it could be more than the sloth suit. If anything I'd argue you're the one that seems really outspoken about this.
The brief amount of information I’ve taken in on this sloth incident indicates that the guy just wasn’t having it. She struts up in the sloth costume acting like a fucking weirdo, he looks aghast, she takes off the costume to reveal a smoking hot cocktail dress, they talk briefly about family and animals, and she doesn’t get a rose at the end of the night. If there’s more to the story than that, it’s appropriate to ask about what else transpired that could eliminate her, as KGB725 implies. But without more info, he/she is just unproductively spitballing. I’m open to being wrong here, but I also want evidence.
You're crazy mike! 366 days a year!
You’re great.

I'm scrolling through and no one seems to mention that she climbed a tree. Like climbed it and just hung out there while in full costume. Does she do improv, because that's commitment to a bit.
Sad thing is I just now realized she was eliminated because I forgot what she looked like outside of the costume. Lmao she did keep up the act awkwardly long.
I found a picture
I’m so glad someone finally talked about the sloth on the Bachelor. I laughed so hard a few nights ago when my sister told me that she stayed in character the whole time. If I was a dude would have at least gave her a second date because damn that’s some funny shit.
She's friggin perfect
And she looks great without a costume also.
Wow, wtf, no wonder this season is such a bore from what I heard.
That is totally my kind of joke
He didn’t deserve her anyway
i dont watch the bachelor and dont plan on ever watching it. but i did scream at the screen when i found out that there was a sloth girl on the show and she was eliminated in the first episode. She's freaking amazing.
People would realize it wasn't nearly so quirky and original if they watched the episode and saw 20 other women do some gimmick about his virginity.
I did not see anyone else climb a tree. Just saying.
Just a shot in the dark here...but that might be why the person you replied to said "some gimmick"...as opposed to "the same gimmick".
There's a clip posted in one of the other comments.
While I'm pretty dubious about the whole "saving yourself" thing, the number of cringeworthy and insulting comments made by these women within moments of meeting him is astonishing to me.
He should've eliminated every one of them that made a "I'm gonna take your v-card" joke
Let's be real here, every single bachelor/bachelorette and contestant is on the show to promote their brand. I'm willing to bet at least 5 of the women don't even have the primary goal of winning this season, but getting a spot on Bachelor in Paradise. The artifice is so great that it's impossible to ignore.
True enough - the whole thing is phony as hell, but even within the game rules, they were being pretty awful
She might as well have the words “Future Wifey” tattooed on her forehead.
I mean he was probably horrified to have his virginity called out. She sounds fun, but a lot of people are missing an important point: was the suit rented, or owned?
It was called out by every other girl immediately getting out of the cars as well. And every 30 seconds thereafter for the rest of the season.
He came out as a virgin during his time in the Bachelorette. It's been kind of a big deal...
But Christ, that's an excellent question. My guess is probably owned. These chicks commit hard to participating in these shows, even quitting their jobs.

It's whatever the sub wants it to be. Most people looked at it as a meme.
I'm on the sub. The costume thing has been a gimmick for years...they have had people dress up as a shark, penguin, and Santa Claus.
And here I am wanting a girl dressed as Sonic to run up and jump on this Chaos Emerald.
She didn’t do it for him, she did it for the viral articles and the Instagram followers
If you think this is okay, you’re blinded by hot. This wasn’t funny. It was painfully awkward. Also, introducing yourself to a man by over-dramatically mocking him on national television seems like an unwise move. Correction, it is an unwise move. She went home the first night.
Feel like its a bit of insult to injury
Dear Lady if you are reading this! I'm single and love Tom Brady
So great sense of humor with an awesome personality, and hot? I gotta find one of these mythical combos irl.
IKR? One of the girls in a follow up clip was like "What the hell are you gonna tell your children? You pulled up in a sloth costume?" It's a better story than just meeting on a reality dating show, Karen.
r/fuckingkaren
Honestly that is a pretty cute and funny story.
Fucking A yes.

This is the answer.
I know wtf. I would have chosen her right then and there and then there wouldn't be any show.
She kept to the act a bit too long imo. 2:25
Okay, that was a bit awkward...
I assume there was a lot more to this interaction than what his decision was made on? Because that was pretty cringeworthy to watch.
I admire the commitment to the bit, but she maybe should’ve just quickly taken the mask off for a couple seconds just to give him an association with a face early on
