I can't believe how true this actually is. I can measure my level of stress according to how tight my groups are. While I try to relax and concentrate every shot to follow proper technique, stress and being focused on something else subconciously does a number on accuracy. It's incredible.
Fuck yoga, shooting is my preferred method of relaxation.
Agreed, any week I can get to the range is a good week.
shooting off hand long range is yoga.
I enjoy watching Kirsten Joy Weiss do it :)
Lol go shoot no matter the season. A few feet of snow ain't gonna stop me sending lead down range.
If a couple o' meters of snow stop you, you ain't Canadian enough. I recommend 500cc of maple syrup administered intravenously and 2 lbs of Canadian back bacon administered orally.
Yep. Coldest day I've been at the range it was -20. It was on a base so completely outdoors, no shelter except the shack downrange behind the butts where the targets are stored.
A couple months ago my range trip it was only -10 but blizzard conditions for a bit so we were stuck at 100 yards so we could actually see what we were shooting at! It let off later and we moved back further later.

I know guys who've forgotten their keys. I haven't done that but I have forgot a bolt...doh!
so fucking true.
Yes.
Yup
Had a similar conversation with 2 of my friends today. We all work together and are all feeling the stress and frustration of the job lately. We are all itching to get out and spend a day at my farm, shooting, BBQ and relaxing.
Winter for buying, rest of the year for shooting
I was so beyond stressed and feeling like shit yesterday so went to the range. Completely missed the paper half the time and just stewed all the way home. Fuck.
An indoor range is great during the worst part of the winter.
Rainfall warning Friday and high of 13 I'll be at the range. Only difference for me is what I wear weather won't stop a bullet, at least the weather I've dealt with.
Wait.... you weren't shooting all winter?
