PSA (or is it?): If you are new to the game; its better to start the game now and do 50 co op matches before the co op bonus reset tomorrow.

Discussion

For a total of 5000 wyrmite (2500 today + 2500 tomorrow)

To clarify, given that I seem to not be able to edit the title from mobile; the game gives new players 50 wyrmite per new player they encounter through co op matches; up to a total of 50 times (for a total of 2500 wyrmite, which is equivalent to 2 tenfolds under the new prices starting tomorrow). Every match can give up to 150 wyrmite if everyone is a new player you are matched with. So assuming every group you find is made of players you haven't played yet; it should take a about 16-17 matches to complete the bonus.

Pretty obvious, but considering that the co op bonus isn't outwardly promoted by the game, I feel its still a thing to take in consideration.

There is always the option of rerolling tomorrow for a limited unit; but if you prefer to have more chances for tomorrow I would say it never hurts to have more currency.

It's not even 50 matches, it's 50 new players, so more like 20 or so matches. If you start today, get that 2500, get it again tomorrow, along with the 4500 gift that's 9500 wyrmite on day 2. Pretty amazing.

This is a great PSA because when I was new I would never have thought of this/understood this

GREAT PSA! Very helpful and needed I think. I know I didn't think about it and I just got my son to start playing a few days ago.

What's awesome is that due to the reduction in pull costs, the 50 player thing is now two free ten-pulls instead of one.

QuilledEcho•

Sorry, new-ish player here. So we just play roughly 20 co-op battles today and tomorrow to get the reward? When do the rewards get distributed?

2
Zanai•

You get it as you play, immediately. I don't remember if it goes into your gift box or your total but yeah just play until it stops giving you a wyrmite popup after co-op matches

Edit:if you're newish you've likely already done this and didn't really think about it. Just play a co-op match and if nothing pops up saying you got 50/100/150 wyrmite then you're already good to go

3
QuilledEcho•

Ohh okay thanks for the info! I haven't seen the wyrmite pop up in a while... I guess I got it then :)

Isn't it better to try to reroll for limited event gacha character tomorrow if starting out ?

greggowaffle79•

5,000 wyrmite from this (assuming you can get all the co-op done in time) amounts to ~4 full ten pulls (with the new lower summoning cost). Up to you if you think being able to re-roll specifically for a new unit is worth missing out on those ten pulls. We don't even know what exactly the new banner is yet.

(assuming you can get all the co-op done in time)

Ugh, only started because I came across this thread and they just began maintenance. I only got to Chapter 1 4-4 before that started and couldn't do the co-op stuff. Thought I had until 2:00, getting that message to kick me out of the game was disappointing.

That really depends if you value rerrolling for a limited unit over more currency; but its a good point.

On the other hand, if you are rerrolling, I would say the extra two tenfolds would come in handy for that very purpose.

Is it a reset? I thought they just added to the total each time...

1
ShadowMoses05•

Last time it was a reset because I got it from playing with my friends that I started playing with when the game first released. We can assume this will be another reset

SirCalzone42Yachikoto OTPP (One True Psycho Pairing)•

It's not 50 matches it's 50 people. So you can get it done in 17 matches if you don't encounter any of the same people.

NegativeHer0•

It's Golem day too so it should be pretty easy to do if there's even 2 Lilies that's an easy clear

1
RoastDaMostToast•

Is there any way of knowing if I have already gotten this bonus yet? I just started playing this game 5 days ago

1
Zanai•

Play a co-op match, if no popup occurs afterwards saying you got x wyrmite then you've already got it all.

1
RoastDaMostToast•

I’m only getting wyrmite from endeavors so I assume that means I got it. Thanks man

1
ShadowMoses05•

Seems like at this point we’re going to be getting this co-op wyrmite reset every 3 months or so

Let the disappointment begin.

Thanks for the reminder, I have a friend who started today for the FEH crossover and I had forgotten of the coop wyrmite reset to tell him.

Have you tried pulling players into a group for midgardsormr normal? That shit ain't easy. I recently started an alt account and it can take upward of 5 minutes getting even 1 person into a group. Let alone 3. While I completely agree with you, it's a harder task than I think you're giving credit for.

You'll get people in seconds in all likelihood

The difference is that everyone needs rupees and not everyone needs specific scales/etc.

Maybe I'll try it. I've tried low dragon trials and atp. Never atf.
