Is CM2 worth the spot?

CM2 is almost always worth the spot. In this case it makes tiny disrupt the enemy knight setup almost instantly, she can silence with her auto attacks thanks to human bonus, lets doom get 2 dooms off with this positioning + octarine and allows kunkka to reilably get his ult off.
It can also be nice if axe taunts before the enemies can use their skill and jugg turns magic immune but that's minor compared to the other things.

Crystal maiden is #1 on the "next to nerf" list IMO. I'd be very surprised if we see another Balance patch without Crystal maiden adjustments.
She wins you games without the enemy even noticing whats killing him. You constantly have all your skills up before the enemy does (which usually results in at least 2-3 enemy Units not using a skill at all because they die) and some heroes start shitting out so many ults that its not funny anymore. Arc warden, Furion, Venomancer are good examples of heroes that are "meh" without but "wow" with CM in team.

As others have mentioned, CM is, IMO, almost always worth a spot. ALMOST, obviously there are exceptions, but she's the most versatile character.
Stat wise I'd argue she's not even "overpowered." On paper she's pretty underwhelming, and she herself isn't even a little bit scary.
However, it's 1 slot, and magnifies the power of every character on your team by a substantial amount, so -1 from slotting her but making every other character roughly 20% better, you see the problem. Add in her fairly potent synergies (mage/human is something that exists on 3 characters, meaning all you need is to slap in Uncle Kunkle for mage 3 + Human 4), and it's a character that is almost never bad to grab at least 2*, even if only as a temporary thing until your 6 knight 4 troll or whatever is online.
She isn't overpowered, but the framework of this game makes her by far and away the most versatile pick around. 1* she's honestly pretty trash, 2* she shines, 3* seems superfluous. Her versatility is the problem, not her raw power.
Now, I will say that there are fringe, problematic cases involving running double 2* CM. That aura should NOT stack. That's asinine.

Do most passive stacks in this game? I was playing Demons yesterday and I got two of the item that increases demon hunter damage 30% per demon you have but wasn't sure if it was stacking.

They do indeed, I had a match earlier with triple DH passive and hit some insane luck, 3AM + 4/5 Demons before I was even level 9. Oddly enough, TB was who I was missing (grabbed him 1 at some point, ended the game with him at 2* around 37). AM was damn near if not one tapping squishy characters (CM, 1* KOTL, etc).
All of those passives stack as an additive, so each one was giving him 30% extra damage as pure, per demon. 150% total per passive times 3, so he was dealing base after reduction + mana burn damage + 450% of his base as pure per hit. Mask of Madness on him was disgusting.
I have no clue why part of that is italicized but i'm cool with it.

CM is amazing with almost all heroes tbh. Sometimes it's even worth having 2 CMs.
CM + Arc warden and you'll fill the full board in no time.

My guess is since she never has to stop attacking to use a spell she has more opportunities to get the stun off. I thought it was kinda strange too though.

CM actually does more damage than you'd think. Sometimes when I've had lvl 3 CM she's been up there on most damage dealt, but idk how.
Also, in this case my thinking was that she's ranged and the item doesn't state that there's a differential in procc %.

So, to get all these Lycans, what do we sell? We need 3 spots for it. I'm thinking we sell 2x tiny (there is a long way to an upgrade). But what is the last sell?

Don't sell anything, just move 3 things onto the board after combat before the next shopping phase starts and buy them all.

No, but once the combat has finished and the pieces reset, you can move heroes from your bench onto the board before the shop updates. This essentially makes the lock mechanic useless. You'd still have to sell back down to full board/bench size before next combat phase though.

It doesnt make the lock mechanic useless, sometimes you want to keep your shop but need the end of round gold first.

Yes, you can. It's dangerous because it'll autosell stuff on your board if you can't make room on your deck before the timer ticks down.

Except he stills needs another Lycan to reach 3* and those buys will take up 3 spots minimum. So either he flips through and desperately tries to find a Lycan in a matter of seconds or he loses everything he dropped on the board.

No. He gets a full 30 seconds in the next shopping phase. When the shop updates it doesn't sell your units on the board above the cap, only when the combat phase starts. He would still have to find another Lycan or sell some stuff but he has 30 seconds to look and decide.

Giving yourself 30 seconds to go for broke on 3* Lycan is just asking for trouble. You've already pushed way beyond bench capacity and there's a very high chance you're going to see other units you want while you're digging for Lycan, which breaks things down further.
This might be acceptable if you could be SURE the 3 units you drop on the board would be the ones to get trashed but sometimes the game is like "oh you dropped a 2* axe on the board, guess we will delete this Necro if you can't make room on your bench soon..."

I sold the two trolls, can't remember third. Trolls because I'm not gonna get other trolls for the troll bonus which makes troll less appealing of a pick.

Still it's a 1-cost hero and we are very far from a 3-star tiny, I don't think it's worth it in the late game to hoard 1-cost units in the hope of getting a 3-star especially because you'll see less 1-costs anyway and there are a ton of game deciding heroes for 4-5 gold.

Well, so did I think, but I saw it on a stream and most of warrior heroes end up with a stupid high amount of HP or just tankyness.
Basically you end up winning due to just being more durable and outlast the opponents "OP" spells/items. Also doom helped me a lot VS occasional medusa etc.

I'm not sure why you have mana stone on Tiny though. Probably should go on kunkka

I went with it on Tiny since his cooldown is much lower, and kunkka gets his first boat very fast with his attacks + potential damage + CM aura.

No worries, I had a good run and got the last lycan very shortly after. I was also lucky and got the new pipe of insight and assault cuirass.
Ended up with Axe, Lycan and CM as 3 stars. Rest was 2.
The assault cuirass was insane with the warrior setup. Putting doom all the way back there made him walk next to axe just as he popped the pipe of insight as well ^^
Why do you play CM there? Did you transition into mages or is she just good to have in most comps?

I remember how I kept her through 8 levels even though I was stacking warriors and beasts.
Early ults can be worth it.
She also is Human, although he's one short of the 4 Human buff

Assault cuirass is insane with any setup. By faaaaaaaar best level 5 item. Its like having 6 warriors and 4 undeads so 10 extra slots in roster.

It's even better than that as it also gives you attack speed and reduces attack speed of opponents. A worthy pick up in almost every occurrence you can pick it.
This has happened to me so often. I was one away from getting a level 3 pudge and then he was no where to be found. Went about 10 rounds before I lost and never found him.
Were you board peeping? The pools are shared so if someone else is also building Pudge you'll have a reduced chance of getting that last one~

I don't know the exact amount of units but I'm sure with the cheap 1 cost units, there are at least enough for a couple 3 stars of each.
Other people building those units though will surely decrease your odds
Yes, there are 45 of each 1 cost hero, and 9 less of each cost unit thereafter.
I was in a match and spent 30 on re-rolls because I was one away from the 3 star on two level 1 heroes. RNG hates me!
probability to get lvl 1 heroes is really low when you're high level.
