Planning on starting a new campaign soon and one of the players is looking at playing some kind of gunslinger character (not the literal subclass, most likely). Curious if anyone knows if there'll be weapon properties for firearms in the PHB or, if not, if anyone has seen any attempts at homebrewing them? Don't want the player to feel like they are missing out on something fun by not getting weapon properties
Ragh got some discount Goldschlager for the party - I'm guessing this stuff is cheap because it has pieces of cursed KVX bank gold. They nearly went under trying to get rid of the cursed gold (according to the call Fabian had about his trust), so they sold the cursed gold to an alcohol distributor to make cheaper "premium" liquor. Especially with how much they mentioned the cursed gold already, it feels like it has to be important.
Not sure how this will tie in, or what it means, but definitely feels significant
Are there major/well-known examples of nation's declaring wars without a valid casus belli in world history? I often see people using no-CB to jumpstart campaigns, but never do it myself because I haven't been able to rationalize the choice, so I'm wondering if anyone knows of situations where it happened.
Hi!
Looking for books/authors that do some drastic changes to the world to create something unique/different, or some element that is unique to that world that causes a lot of changes. For example - I've noticed a lot of/most fantasy books still use the same compass and the directions have similar meanings (north=cold, south = warm). Are there any worlds that do away with that completely, or have a different compass system altogether?
One cool example for me is Stormlight Archive - the whole world is structured around the fact that a devastating storm travels the world in the same direction on a relatively predictable cycle. The amount of changes this leads to in the world are amazing - f
Just started reading up on D & D because of Critical Role. The players handbook (5e) is currently on its way to me, and one of my friends has some stuff from when he was a kid. We are both free Fridays and most saturdays, but other days might work as well. We are willing to start a long term commitment, as we would like to start from the beginning and build up from there, not exactly join an established world. We are both quite excited to build a character and start a long campaign. PM me or comment here with any ideas!
They are a puppet government of the British, they shouldn't be the only faction member left fighting the world war after both France and Britain have capitulated. I finished the world war in 41 and I'm going to have to spend the rest of my time slowly naval invading British Raj until that massive wall of manpower and land capitulated? Bullshit. If Britain capitulated, the Raj should get an event- or the person who beat the British should- that allows you to release all puppet countries or something
I really enjoy this part of the season, when teams that did worse than they wanted start dropping players. Look at the teams that weren't at the tournament and those that finished out of the money, in particular, as it is safe to assume top finishers will stick together. Or is it?
Edit: I know its early-ish, but I want to discuss before major news comes out.
My friend and I have some assorted items and are wondering if you guys had any idea what we could build.Last summer we built a vertical testing device, and we are reusing the pieces to make a game. We both like Ultimate a lot, so we were thinking on building some sort of frisbee basketball or frisbee soccer game, but if you have any other ideas, wonderful! Something that two-four people could play, like bags(cornhole). What we have:
Ping pong table sized piece of wood (slightly smaller, and with some nail holes)
Garbage Can.
3 pieces of PVC: one that's five feet, one nine, and one three.
Some strong magnets.
Tools and paint.
Construction Sand bags.
I know this is a random assortment,
