What should I do?

So this Saturday I work 430pm-11pm. That's a normal shift for me. But Sunday I work 615am-1145am doing breakout on the truck for style. Legally dont they have to give you at least 8 hours in between shifts? I talked to my TL about changing my Saturday hours but nothing has been changed and all this week I work nights and he works days, so I'll never see him to remind him.

I can't call out again, since I just did last Saturday for being sick and I honestly dont want to. But by the time I get home, take my dogs out and shower I wont be in bed until 1am and I'll have to be up by at least 5 or 530am. So I'm just wondering what I should do in case my TL doesnt change my hours. I'm gonna leave him a note tonight to remind him again for the 3rd time since last week Wednesday.

They don't legally have to do anything. They can tell you no you're fine to work it and you'd be held responsible to show up. If it was illegal and required to give you 8 hours or more then you wouldn't of been scheduled it.

Talk to the closing lod on the night you close and ask them if you can get out at 10 since you're back at 6am. They'd likely let you get out early if their not a douche.

legally they don’t have to do anything. the week before christmas I was scheduled 3:30-12:30 and then 6:45-3:30 every other day. I don’t think they realize sometimes how little sleep you’re getting when they do that

The legality of it depends on your state. My state doesn't have any minimum hours between shifts. But its human decency to give 8 hours minimum between shifts.

They have to change your hours. That happened a lot when I would so signing Sunday morning because if they it will count as overtime. They would rather change your hours than give overtime. Honestly if you TL isn't going to do it ask others. If they don't change it its on them not you.

Yeah but if they dont change it, should I just call in? Or should I just get no sleep and go in? I've never had this happen to me at any other job before so I'm just at a total loss on what to do.

My store, they’d probably have you leave at 10-10:15, because setup needs to get done on Sunday, while ad takedown and such can be done a bit earlier and still do as much of the zone as won’t be destroyed in the last hour. But that’s just my store.

He said 9, but he still didn't change it 🙄 if it's not changed by Friday I'm just gonna talk to my ETL Saturday night about it.

You COULD just haul your ass out of bed. Thousands of us have. It's not the worst thing in the world.

Otherwise, just do what others have suggested as far as getting the shifts changed, or approved to leave early/come in late.
